Smart Gear Pony Cycle White Unicorn Ride on Toy: 2 Sizes: World’s First Simulated Riding Toy for Kids Age 4-9 Years Ponycycle Ride-on Medium

PonyCycle is the world’s First Simulated Riding Toy that doesn’t rely on batteries or electricity, but on the child’s own power. Instead of traditional Rocking Horses and Spring Horses which keep the rider in one spot, PonyCycle allows the child to ride wherever they want, making them feel just like they’re on a real horse. By gently bouncing up and down in the saddle, the child makes the head and legs move forward and backward, propelling the PonyCycle forward in a galloping motion. One of the best things about the PonyCycle is that not only does it make a wonderful toy, it’s also a great form of exercise. When children move on their PonyCycle they train a specific group of muscles, meaning that they grow stronger and healthier while having a great time! Riding on a PonyCycle is completely safe. It’s best to find flat, solid ground. Hills should be avoided, PonyCycles don’t have brakes. It’s better not to ride on bumpy surfaces. Never leave a child unsupervised while riding. BATMAN: THE NIGHT RUN Celebrates 75 Years of #BATMAN in Taiwan!!

OK, This post has been sort of difficult because I have had to use “Google Translation” software to figure out what it’s even all about, ha ha! But the gist of the story is that Taiwan is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Batman character with an event called, BATMAN: THE NIGHT RUN!

According to one Taiwanese News Story I read, BATMAN: NIGHT RUN starts January 10, 2015 and will be held at Kaohsiung Station. But I’m kind of confused on how they already have pics from this event (posted down below). Maybe it has already happened??

CHOCOOLATE Retail Stores Honoring 75 YEARS OF BATMAN with T-Shirts and More!

Shown up above is a photo from our friend Stone Wong who was recently in Taipei (Taiwan) and he saw this HUGE “Bruce Wayne / Batman” advertising banner displayed at a CHOCOOLATE Retail Store location.

It features a graphic of Bruce Wayne from the new CGI cartoon. It’s all about hyping the merchandise for their “Batman 75th Anniversary” Collection!

Chocoolate is a Hong Kong based company and they have many locations in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Macau, Singapore and Canada. Yes, they have one Canadian outlet, that’s kinda weird!

Researching their website, I found out that they have a nice assortment of “75 Years of BATMAN” T-Shirts, Hoodies, Baseball Jerseys, Sweatshirts and even a Paper-Table Lamp! Down below are some pics found at their site. To visit, just CLICK HERE!

Transformers New Years Optimus Prime and Soundwave really get my goat

Another new year fast approaches and Hasbro is preparing their latest set of exclusive Transformers designed to represent the animals of the Chinese zodiac. 2015 marks the year of the goat and they’re doing something a little different this year, going with a transparent and metallic color scheme. I’m no fan of translucent plastic and gold plastic tends to become very brittle over time so I’m not all that excited about these releases, but at least they picked some great figure molds to use.

First up is the surprising return of the G2 Laser Optimus Prime. The last time we saw this mold in North America it was repurposed as Scourge for the Robots in Disguise cartoon in 2000. Nothing has changed in the mold, but now comes in translucent, gold, silver, and black. Oddly enough he’s lacking all of the stickers and paint that would have been on the previous uses of the mold except for his head which has a silver mouth plate and yellow eyes. His fuel tanker trailer still has a chrome tank, but in battle station mode they’ve made some of his parts inexplicably pink and light blue.

Second is as similarly colored version of Masterpiece Soundwave. He doesn’t have quite as many colors as Optimus has, almost entirely made from clear and copper plastic save for a section of light gray plastic. Would have been better if they had used Prime’s silver and some black to break things up. Only spot on his head with color is his red eye visor, opting to not paint his mouth plate like Optimus. What he does have going for him is that being a Hasbro release he does come with five tapes (Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ravage, Rumble, and Frenzy) in translucent plastic and all of his weapons including a mini brass and silver Megatron gun.

Both of these figures use good molds, but my dislike for the clear plastic kills my interest entirely. Had they replaced the clear parts with the proper respective red or blue opaque plastic, similar to the 2014 Optimus Prime, I would definitely want these. They’ve also once again missed a chance at using a Beast Wars mold, this time they could have used Ramulus. Either way, expect these to hit Toys R Us and Big Bad Toy Store by the end of this year.

On the plus side, the package art is pretty epic!

70 years of Batman Evolution: 1939 Batman up to 2012 The Dark Knight – $2.6 billion made

Here’s another Batman Evolution chart I came across and this one covers the iconic superhero through the years and the money Batman films have made, grossing over $2.6 billion worldwide.

Batman first appeared in the pages of Detective Comics #27 which was sold for 10 cents. By the 1940s, Batman was a big player in comics and Alfred Pennyworth, The Batsignal, The Batmobile and the Batcave were introduced, as were villains like Dr Hugo Strange and The Joker.

In the 1950s, Batman gradually becomes more science fiction oriented as he fought aliens from outer space. This era showed a more ‘sunnier’ Batman during the postwar years to reflect the golden age of the 50s. Accusations of Batman being gay rose at this time, and rumored Batman and Robin as romantic lovers LOL.

Scroll down to see all the pictures.
Click on them for bigger and better views.

1960s Batman was portrayed by Adam West on TV with lots of camp thrown in, including shark repellent spray cans and giant cherry bombs. Batman returned to the dark side in the 1970s and then Batman exploded on the big screen in a big way with the Tim Burton directed 1989 Batman film which broke several box office records, grossing over 400 million. Batman: The Animated Series (BTAS) was inspired by the Tim Burton film and maintained the dark tone set by Burton to great success. Then came Batman Forever in 1995 by Joel Schumacher to mixed reviews. Schumacher then almost kills the Batman film franchise with the 1997 Batman and Robin with what is considered one of the worst superhero films of all time. The bat nipples didn’t help!
Batman gets rebooted in 2005 with Batman Begins by Christopher Nolan. This was followed by The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. Batman has been restored to its rightful place. Now we wait with bated breath for “Superman vs Batman: Dawn of Justice”
