Reblogged 6 years ago from feedproxy.google.comCheck out the first colored pics of MP Bumblebee and lots of new Magnus details
Thanks to a new magazine scan from Planet Iacon we’re finally getting to see Masterpiece Bumblebee is full color for the first time. He’s looking great and while he isn’t 100% cartoon accurate he is about as accurate as we’re ever going to get. Looking at his car mode it’s easy to forget that real Volkswagen Beatles don’t look like the squashed version of the original toy and cartoon. It’s actually pretty impressive that they managed to keep him fairly in scale in both bot and car mode; all that extra stuff on his back paid off. Of course he’ll also come with a fully transforming figure of Spike in his exo suit when he’s released in November for ¥6,000.
We’ve also got a bunch of new shots of MP Ultra Magnus from a bunch of angles and even mid-transformation! He’s looking super complex, with tons of folding parts in his legs and body. Even more interesting is confirmation that his cab, which is nearly identical to Optimus Prime, is removable from the trailer. That just adds to my hope that a white Prime figure will will be sold separately later that can be used in its place. It’s going to be a long wait for December!

Reblogged 6 years ago from www.tomopop.comHoly mackerel! Check out the first colored pics of figma Nanase Haruka from Free!
Thanks to Hobby Stock we’re getting our first colored look at figma Nanase Haruka from Free! Now, I won’t pretend to know anything about Free!, but I do know good figma when I see them. It’s my opinion, but I’ve always thought that Max Factory does the skinny male anime character body type better than Bandai does in S.H. Figuarts. One of the best examples is one of the first figma, Lelouch Lamperouge from Code Geass, which had an amazingly slender body that still holds up seven years later. Getting back to the point, Haruka here is another example of MF doing guys right and even capturing his swimmer’s muscle tone perfectly. I’m sure some of the ladies out there appreciate the sculpting more than I do, but it really is well done.
As for the accessories I won’t pretend to know what context they’re used in, but they are kinda interesting. I assume, but can’t say for sure that his goggles can be worn since he also comes with a section of diving platform. I really don’t know why his other accessory is an apron, but I’m sure there’s a good reason. And for those able to get an order in at Hobby Stock they’ll be able to get an exclusive filet of grilled mackerel. Again, I have no idea why, maybe it’s a visual metaphor?
He’ll be out in September, but we don’t yet know what his price will be. Given that he’s now being seen in color I’m sure it’s only a short matter of time before pre-orders show up with even more photos. HS also announced that the second figma in the Free! line will be Tachibana Makoto so there’s something new for fans to get excited for!
