Legends Series LG-EX Grand Maximus Will Be Made, But TakaraTomy Can't Pretend To Have Met Its Stretch Goals

The Grand Maximus preorder period is over, and TakaraTomy have announced the results. While the recolor of Titans Return Fortress Maximus did meet its prerequisite of 2000 preorders and will be made, it couldn’t quite reach the goal of 3000 that was necessary for TakaraTomy to manufacture the special Pretender shell for the smaller Headmaster figure. It’s a pity, but focus on the positive: for the first time since we got Titan Class figures, there is an exclusive recolor available of one. Keep reading for the announcement from TakaraTomy.

League of Legends finally gets a licensed figure in Nendoroid Ahri

Somehow, Riot Games’ League of Legends has had very little in the way of merchandise — especially figures — which is weird, considering its popularity. That’s all changed, however, as it looks like Riot and Good Smile Company have come together to produce Nendoroid Ahri.

The popular mid-lane champion is going to be available at the 2014 World Championships in Seoul, South Korea, per the ticket page on Interpark for the event’s semifinals. Ahri should be available at the onsite shop, which will be open during the semifinals at Seoul’s Olymic Gymnastics Arena on Oct. 11 and 12.

We’ll let you know if she becomes available anywhere besides 2014 Worlds, but given GSC’s track record of bundling Nendos with limited edition game packages … I don’t have high hopes yet.

Check out these adorable little Leauge of Legends amigurumi

A friend of mine happened to pass along LittleForestWorkshop‘s Etsy store, which has something that caught my eye: some adorable League of Legends amigurumi. What I happen to like most about them might be the detail that’s been woven into them; they look pretty much like their in-game counterparts. You know, for being made of yarn and all.

LittleForest only has a few in her shop: specifically, Ahri (both regular and popstar versions), Arcade Sona, Jinx, Nami and Orianna. They’re priced at about USS$68 and ship from Australia, so you have to add those costs in as well. Still, they’re pretty adorable and might be right at home for the League fan in your life.
