Metal Gear Ray leads off this month’s hobby scans

At the very end of last year, Kotobukiya released their 1/100 scale model of Metal Gear Rex. That immediately prompted questions of when Metal Gear Ray would be put into production plans. With this month’s scans, the year 2014 is when Kotobukiya will place those plans into action.

Ray isn’t the only model, but it’s the only brand-spanking new announcement this month for plamo. As most plamo in Hobby Japan tend to be Gunpla, all of the features were already shown off at this week’s Gunpla Expo World Tour 2013. We get some studio shots of the Sazabi ver Ka and Gundam X Master Grades and those are looking more and more like must haves for Gunpla fans. The big features are of the new Gundam Build Fighters announcements, namely the Star Build Strike Gundam Plavsky Wing and Kampfer Amazing. The Star BSGPW is a bit different from its appearance this weekend, sporting pink clear wings instead of the blue. Not sure as to what will be the official color, but I’m leaning towards the blue in terms of preference. You can check it out for yourself along with the rest of the images in the gallery below.
