Review: Kirby Fighters 2

Kirby is one of those franchises that kind of sneaks up and surprises you when you least expect it.

Every so often Nintendo will be like “hey, there’s a new Kirby game coming out soon, buy it!” It seems to sell well enough to warrant them doing that every few years, whether it’s a spinoff, a spinoff of a spinoff, or a mainline entry.

Kirby Fighters 2 is another spinoff in a long line of them; but it doesn’t really do anything drastic enough to warrant anyone turning their head.

Ronda Rousey, Conor McGregor, and other UFC fighters take the fight to Funko’s Pop! line

Remember Ronda Rousey? Arguably one of the biggest celebrities in 2015 (and most-searched people on Google), the dominant former UFC champ made headlines thanks to title bouts short enough to be compressed into GIFs. For less than the cost of a UFC pay-per-view, you can add Funko’s upcoming Pop! Ronda Rousey to your shelves.

Funko is set to release Pop! UFC figures for Ronda Rousey, Conor McGregor, Chris Weidman, Jose Aldo, Anderson Silva, and BJ Penn. While it’s a decent line-up, it’s a little unfair to Ronda that she won’t have an opponent in your collection… oh well, maybe the next assortment will fix that?

Expect to see these at retail starting in June.

Next challenger for Kotobukiya Bishoujo is Street Fighter’s Sakura

Perhaps you’re watching a stream of EVO right now and you’re in the mood for some more fighting. While we’ve seen the release Bishoujo Chun Li and are awaiting Cammy and Juri, how about one more fighter to add to the mix? Kotobukiya put up their teaser today, which has Sakura as the fourth release in the lineup.

There’s not really much to go on, but I think we all know how Shunya will take this one. As SDCC is just two weeks away, so we’ll probably get the sketch reveal then. We definitely won’t see this released until 2015, so just know that Sakura is in the works. Share your joy in the comments.
