GOG is handing out Syberia to celebrate the launch of Syberia 3: The Complete Journey

Syberia is a classic point-and-click style adventure game that came out just as the genre was dying in 2002. It was received well and even spawned a sequel that came out a few years later. After that, the series basically went dark until earlier this year with the poorly received Syberia 3. Regardless of what you feel about that game, GOG.com is giving away the original classic in celebration of Syberia 3: The Complete Journey’s release.

I doubt most people are going to care about the latter as basically every review I can find says the game is a dud. At least we’ll always have the classics to go back to (now for free!). If you don’t have a PC, but still want to check out this interesting title, it has been ported to pretty much every console imaginable (Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, DS, OSX, iOS, Android, Windows Phone). There was even a Switch version released a few weeks ago, which totally flew under the radar.

You’ll have until 10 am PST/1 pm EST tomorrow (November 11) to grab the game. After that, it will return to its $9.99 price.

DST returns to C2E2; plans to celebrate two 15th anniversaries

Diamond Select Toys will once again be at C2E2 this year, but this year is a little more special than most since it marks the 15th anniversary for two of DST’s biggest lines: the always-impressive Select figures and Minimates.

Feel free to join the historic celebration at Booth #817 during C2E2 (April 21-23) where you’ll be able to meet members of the DST staff, check out upcoming items, and buy some collectibles you may have missed.

And, if you have the time, you may consider joining DST’s Zach Oats for a panel (“Diamond Select Toys: 15 Years of Minimates and Select Figures”) on Friday evening, April 21, from 6:45 PM to 7:45 PM in Room S402.

Can’t make it to Chicago? Then be sure to check out Zach’s Twitch stream on Friday afternoon at 3:30.

Personally, I’d like to with the Select line a happy 15th birthday. Here’s hoping to 15 more years!

Celebrate a British holiday with Guy Fawkes Cavey

Remember, remember, the Third of November … because that’s when a new Cavey arrives! The Guy Fawkes Cavey (or is it Ca-V? Get it?) is releasing Monday at 8 p.m. BST (4 p.m. Eastern, 1 p.m. Pacific) for £25 each. As you might expect from the name, it features a Cavey styled after Guy Fawkes, down to the beard and hat, carrying a sparkler (no gunpowder included).

A total of 25 Guy Fawkes Caveys will be available in the Cavey shop. The history nerd in me is thinking about picking one up, but I’m a little worried I might have to keep an eye on any plots from the little fellow …

BATMAN FAN? Artist? Let's Celebrate Your Bat-Creativity!

OK, the title to this post is kinda corny but I just woke-up and can’t think of anything super clever right now (only on 2nd cup of coffee).

But anyway, this post is meant to celebrate Artists and other Creative People who are “Batman Fans” and who have also become inspired to make art.

First, up above, is a random photo I came across on the Interwebs. It’s a totally insane BATMAN IN GOTHAM CITY Birthday Cake! I mean, WOW! They even created a “backdrop” for it, ha!

Next up is this very cool “Batman: The Animated Series TWO-FACE CHAIR! This was made by our friend, Felix Eichholz. We all think you did an awesome job on it Dude! ( Thanks Felix )

Then, check out this Custom-Made BATMOBILE Golf Cart, it’s crazy! Of course this is the Tumbler Batmobile from the recent DARK KNIGHT movie trilogy. I love the detailing on this thing, very cool!

Celebrate Star Wars with Artmymind’s Storm Samurai

Not everyone celebrates May the 4th in the same manner, and Artmymind have chosen to celebrate Star Wars with a new piece, Storm Samurai. Obviously styled on the Stormtrooper helmet with some influence from Japanese kabutos, the 3-inch-by-3-inch-by-2-inch piece has been cast in both resin (matte black and matte white) and a shiny metal version. It’s a very clean look, not too outside of what Artmymind usually creates, and it looks just as awesome as their custom work.

The matte black and white samurai heads are US$49 each, while the metal version is US$69 each. You can find all three in Artmymind’s shop this very moment.

Celebrate Chinese New Year with Year of the Horse Android

By now I look forward to seeing Andrew Bell’s holiday themed Androids. After the release of the Christmas Ornamental Androids, he will be releasing a special figure to celebrate Chinese New Year. Since the new year will be the Year of the Wooden Horse, the Year of the Horse Android mini is designed like a traditional Chinese character.

Made in red, it has a horse face, wears traditional Chinese clothing, and has a gold horse seal on the back. This special edition figure will be available today in the Dead Zebra online store. As with all of their releases, you’ll have two windows of opportunity to snag one of these; 11am EST and 11pm EST.

There’s no price listed yet, but usually these Android minis go for US$10.
