Seen on display at Taipei Toy Festival 2017 (Oct 7-10) is a spread of toy collectibles from Mame Moyashi – including their Taiwan-exclusive “Night Light Lobster” – and as well a swell line-up off NEW character figures designed by Chino Lam, which include RED YU, and the next “Ape” character to be released (from his “Gang of Mountains and Seas”) … next to Mame’s HATTORI TARO, and an unpainted “
Topspin is the standout of this wave. Fantastic design ideas and aesthetic choices, with really excellent transformation engineering make this toy shine on all counts. The only issues present are relatively small, and seem to be a result of the materials not quite playing right with the design. I could easily see later uses of the mold being effectively perfect! You can find our video review, with accompanying text and photos right now on the Titans Return Topspin review page, so go give it a look right now!

Nendoroids are hugely popular nowadays (even one of my non-collector friends has some) but it’s surprising how few Nendoroid reviews we have. I don’t buy a ton of them myself, but a few Kantai Collection ones have come around lately that I really wanted. Those include Shoukaku and Zuikaku, which can be ordered separately or as a bundle.
There is no shortage of KanColle Nendoroids but these are two popular characters that I knew from the anime. Since I had a few photo ideas, I thought I might as well do a review!
I received these images and an email from Chak (firstname.lastname@example.org), the comic book author of INGLEPARK. Not only is he releasing a comic, he has also collaborated with Chinese toy designer Hidden Foo (www.behance.net/Hidden_Foo) to produce a 1/6th scale action figure of the main character, Chicago.
Los Angeles, early ’90s.
In the district of INGLEPARK, the Outlawz are the law, Chicago is their leader. One night, stopped at a red light in the dark and dangerous streets of INGLEPARK, Chicago is shot in a failed carjacking attempt. At his funeral, a gunfight broke out between the Outlawz and thugs driving by, probably of the same crew as the killer. A few weeks later, it’s pouring down raining over the city, the thunder rumbles and the earth shakes above the tomb of Chicago… he’s back from the dead! And he is determined to seek revenge and to put to an end any shadow of a doubt to his murder!
INGLEPARK – Volume 1 x Hidden Works – 1/6th scale Chicago 12-inch figure by Hidden Foo. Based in Beijing, China, toy designer Hidden Foo gives life to Chicago, by creating an exclusive collectible action figure of the main character of INGLEPARK. With a size of 12 inches, the figure is dressed in tailored clothes, handmade by the artist.
In addition to an INGLEPARK baseball jersey, a camouflage cargo pants, the figure wears a San Francisco Giants cap, and a pair of Reebok Pump Omni Lite, true to the character’s outfit in the Volume 1 of INGLEPARK. Conducted in close collaboration with CHAK, the author of INGLEPARK, a very limited production series is considered.

TFC Toys has posted some new shots of their SD Devastator, HerQules, to their Weibo page! HerQ is looking fairly nice, and lines up with Diabolus Rex, MasterMade’s SD Trypticon, relatively well. We also get a look at the in-package figure in this round of photos. Keep reading to see!
The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Hollywood – in the form of Paramount Pictures – is teaming up with Hasbro to create a Cinematic Universe based on Hasbro properties. Micronauts, Rom: Spaceknight, MASK, and Visionaries are slated to tie into existing film franchise GI Joe, and a writer’s room is being assembled in the vein of the one created for the Transformers Cinematic Universe. Transformers is assumed to remain separate – though there was that first Micronauts promotional image, so we’ll see! Keep reading for details.

Chibi (ちび or チビ) is a Japanese slang word meaning “short person” or “small child”. The word has gained currency among fans of manga and anime. Its meaning is of someone or some animal that is small. It can be translated as “little”, but is not used the same way as chiisana [小さな] (tiny, small, little in Japanese) but rather cute. In English-speaking anime and manga fandom (otaku), the term chibi has mostly been conflated with the “super deformed” style of drawing characters with oversized heads or it can be used to describe child versions of characters.
These Marvel Chibi superhero figures were part of my November haul (see post HERE). I got them because they were cute (and cheap!). They didn’t cost a lot and they were too cute to resist. The wife likes them and what the wife wants, the wife gets. After all, she supports me in my hobby 100% and puts up with having all the figures and toys displayed all over the house. She loves the whole toy museum look which she says makes the house unique and different from other houses. I’m so blessed to have such a supportive wife and partner so this toy blog post is dedicated to her 🙂
